Google Drive

Connect selected Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides as Case evidence.

Google Drive integration is available on Free and Pro, in personal and workspace spaces. Link selected native Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides to Cases. Epismo reads their content; it does not edit Google files.

Connect Google Drive

  1. Select the intended personal or workspace space in Epismo Web and open Integration settings (/settings/integrations).
  2. Choose Connect Google account under Google Drive and complete Google's consent flow. This connection is separate from signing in to Epismo with Google.
  3. In an open Case you can edit, choose Add source, then Google Drive. You can also connect your account from this dialog.
  4. Select one file with Google Picker, confirm that its captured content will be shared with Case collaborators, and link it.

A personal space connects directly. Workspace Google Drive access is allowed by default; Owners and Admins can prohibit it before anyone connects. Allowing the integration does not authorize an account or grant organization-wide file access. Each member connects their own Google account. Personal and workspace connections are separate: workspace prohibition or disconnection does not disconnect a personal-space account.

Only files selected for this application are accessible. Pasting a URL does not grant access to an unselected file. After selecting a file in Web, CLI, MCP, and API can link its URL using your connection in the same active space. The provider key returned for these sources is gdrive.

epismo case source link "$CASE_ID" --url "https://docs.google.com/document/d/FILE_ID/edit"
epismo case source get "$CASE_ID" "$SOURCE_ID"
epismo case source refresh "$CASE_ID" "$SOURCE_ID"

Saved content and sharing

Captures include Docs text and tables across tabs, Sheets formatted values and formulas with cell coordinates, and Slides text, tables, and speaker notes. Images, chart visuals, PDFs, binary uploads, and non-grid sheets are not captured. Size limits reject a capture instead of publishing partial content. If the file changes during retrieval, Epismo retries.

Saved text is shared with Case work viewers and editors, even if they cannot access the original Google file. Public-only readers cannot see sources. Public AI reviews and Brief generation exclude sources. Text copied into records or other outputs follows those objects' visibility and remains after unlinking.

Linking queues the initial capture. Use Request update or case source refresh to retrieve later changes; reads use the latest saved capture without contacting Google. There are no Google Drive change notifications or continuous file polling. Only the latest complete capture is retained. Check status and timestamps; use case source get if a Case response omits the full content. Closed Cases can be explicitly refreshed or unlinked by editors.

Link and unlink cost 2 credits each; linking includes the initial capture. Each completed subsequent refresh costs 1 credit to the Case billing account, even when content is unchanged. Queuing, failed captures, and retries are free. Coalesced refresh requests incur one charge for that Case.

Disconnect and workspace policy

Any Case editor can unlink a source for all collaborators, removing its saved content and contributed grants. Linking the same file again contributes your current grant to the existing source. Disconnecting removes your connection and grants in that space; other collaborators' live grants can keep a source available. When no grants remain, saved content is cleared and synchronization is suspended. After reconnecting, link the URL again to contribute the new grant; refresh alone cannot do this.

Workspace prohibition removes that workspace's connections and invalidates pending authorization attempts. Disconnecting in Epismo does not revoke the application's entire Google consent. Permission changes made only in Google are detected on the next fetch; check the source status and reconnect or select the file again when prompted.
